Dr. Mandip Heir

I am a Consultant Radiologist with a speciality interest in Paediatrics and Emergency Radiology. I have been involved in teaching and education throughout my postgraduate career, as an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Leicester, clinical teaching fellow at Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham, as well as completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education. I am co-organiser of the East Midlands FRCR 2B courses and always looking to further develop and support radiology teaching and courses.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family as well as attempting to cook different cuisines.

Dr. Clare Ashwin

I am a Consultant Radiologist specialising in paediatric imaging in a bust DGH in Surrey with the region's only dedicated Level 3 NICU. I was delighted to be a member of the faculty for the Neonatal Chest Imaging in 2016 and forward to the new expanded course this year.

I trained in Radiology on the Imperial College scheme and was fortunate enough to spend two attachments at Great Ormond Street as both a junior and senior registrar, the latter for just over 10 months.

I love teaching and spent a year as a Surgical Teaching Fellow involving lectures, small group teaching and bedside tutorials. Outside of medicine I have taught English as a foreign language both in the UK and abroad. I have also worked as an expedition medic for numerous charities and expedition companies.

Outside of work I enjoy running, Pilates, nice chocolate and spending time with my family. I have two little people of my own to keep me busy so I would have to say my hobbies also include colouring, lego and chasing scooters!

I am a Paediatric Radiologist and worked at St. George's Hospital in London for 14 years, supporting many paediatric services and I developed a particular interest in trauma and skeletal dysplasias. I was on the board of the BSPR helping to develop the paediatric trauma imaging guidelines and to co-ordinate care for patients with skeletal dysplasia I initiated a monthly multidisciplinary meeting.

I have been involved in teaching and education throughout my career. I held an honorary senior lecture appointment at St. George's Hospital Medical School, I am on the planning committee for the UKRC paediatric stream and I have been on the faculty for the Skeletal Dysplasia Group Instructional Course.

More recently, my family and I moved out of London and I have been working in different departments across the South-East of England as well as a short trip to the Middle East which was extremely interesting.
